Health and Wellness Club at Roosevelt University
Roosevelt University Health and Wellness Club
Our Mission:
Health and Wellness Club aims to promote healthy living and service to others by focusing on nutritional, environmental, mental, and physical health.
About Us: Activities we do include fundraising for wellness-related causes (such as Out of the Darkness and Green Jobs Now), regularly attend fitness programs on campus (such as yoga and zumba), have a regular book club with varying topics (like The Ten Trusts and The Evolution of Desire), and provide the RU community with healthy eating tips, outings, and samples (like our yogurt tasting table)! We also have two semesterly challenges: the Take the Stairs Challenge, which challenges participants to take only the stairs in all on-campus buildings for an entire semester, promoting exercise and go green initiatives by not taking the elevators, and the Pledge Veg: Vegetarian Challenge, which challenges participants to try a new eating lifestyle different from what they’re used to, including pecetarianism, lacto-ovo, cutting out red meat, etc for 30 days a semester.
